Period Piece

An original novel I wrote in little bits and pieces probably between about 2014 and 2016. It's a pretty amateur effort all around, but I had a lot of fun writing it regardless. After all, I've read MUCH worse novels in my time, so I figured what's the harm in writing my own? You can also buy it for Amazon Kindle if you want to, but why would you when you can just read the whole story here?!

Late one night, after an overdose of Nyquil meant to block out certain monthly abdominal cramps, a scrappy young lady named Jacqui decided she was fed up with the constant pain and misery of menstruation, and thus found herself on a spiritual dream quest to find God, the supernatural entity responsible for making women this way, so that, upon meeting him face to face, she might drop kick him in a very painful place. Aided by a peppy trans-dimensional frog deity as her spirit guide, and pursued by an ambiguous troublemaker in a sharp teal business suit, Jacqui must make her way through dreamland, following clues and solving riddles in her continuing mission to find God. Now if she could only stop getting into fights with the religious zealots of dreamworld along the way...
