Meet The Me!

What's up, sexy! I'm Cat (she/they), or Space Vixen pretty much everywhere else. I've gone by a couple other names in the past (namely, Catula and BlackCatula), but this is the one I'm sticking with now. And as you can see here, I finally made a proper website for myself. It only took 30-some years, but I got there!

This site is a culmination of all the different sides of myself and the works I create. I make instrumental synth music, am teaching myself to draw tits and ass, write fiction novels and fanfic, and share my adventures in watching obscure cartoons and TV shows. I've also made AMVs and compilation videos, and done just a smidge of game dev as well. I'm too spread out to be a proper "Content Creator" (a term I personally despise), but that doesn't mean I'm not creative or don't have The Content™ to share!

I started taking an interest in music back in 2006 when I first learned about Audacity, but I didn't get serious about making music and releasing albums (and thus taking the moniker Space Vixen) until about 2017. I was extremely prolific at first, but I've slowed down a lot lately in favor of really taking time to improve and experiment with the types of music I want to create. I'm also big on discovering and sharing new music that I collect, hence the "Now Listening" icon on the right.

I've been practicing drawing on and off all my life, but never taken it too seriously. Like most horny teenagers, I took up art because I wanted to draw butts, and while I've definitely drawn more than just that, that's still my main focus! My style is decidedly cartoony, and I'm always creating new characters. I'm glad to say I've improved a lot since childhood! I've also entertained the idea of doing a webcomic multiple times over the years, but always backed out at the last minute due to fear of not being good enough or whatever. That might change soon, now that I'm learning to feel no shame in what I make!

Speaking of, I really wanted to be a writer when I was a kid, because I loved books so much. I don't read as often as I'd like to in the modern day, but I do still find time for it occasionally. And I still write too! I have a handful of short fanfics written on FictionPress and AO3, and a few original novels as well, one of which I self-published on Amazon here! "Period Piece" is about a girl who gets fed up with period cramps and embarks on a dream quest to find the god responsible for making women this way, so she can give him a good kick him in the dick. A dumb idea? Perhaps! But that didn't stop me from writing it and having fun all the same. After all, I've read worse books in my life, so what's the harm in making my own?!

Finally, the Watch List is an ongoing pet project of mine that I've been tracking since just before college (15+ years ago now). As a lifelong fan of cartoons, especially obscure ones or mediocre ones nobody ever talks about, I've been keeping a list of every single cartoon I encounter and putting them all on a list of Things To Eventually Watch Some Day. And since then I've been casually watching one or two episodes of whatever's next on The List pretty much every day. It's a great way to relax before bed and greater way to actually watch all those things I keep saying I will. The Watch List I'm keeping HERE is where I compile my thoughts and impressions of *some* of the shows I watch, if I have anything interesting to say about them. Don't think of it as a "Reviews" page, think of it more as just an "Adventure" I'm going on, where I share and highlight some of my favorites, or just strange things I found interesting. I don't mind watching Bad or even Mediocre shows, because sometimes you just never know what kind of inspiration you'll find in those type of things.
